Voice Over Scripts to Sharpen Your Skills - Free

Free Voiceover Scripts

One of the best ways to improve Your voice acting is to practice regularly.

And one of the best ways to practice is using voiceover practice scripts.

Voice overs come in all shapes and sizes, and it's good to know how different genres lay out their script. This is an excellent resource for you as you put together your practice script library.

How can I practice voice acting?

Practicing voice acting is all about trying out scripts and honing your craft. You can use any type of script, including commercials, animation, video games, audiobooks, and narration, such as explainer videos.

There are many free resources available online that you can use to find the right type of script for you and begin practicing. AI-based tools like Jasper AI can also help you generate your own scripts. You could also ask other voice actors for demo scripts; I have hundreds of them! I do not post many publically, though, as some are signed with an NDA, a non-disclosure agreement.

Keep reading for links to different scripts available as a free resource!

Disclaimer: free voiceover scripts may not be the best scripts. Bill talks about that in his short YouTube video. You may not want to use these practice scripts in your demo reel. Regardless, you've got to start somewhere. Eventually, you can begin weeding out the bad scripts and lean into the good ones. You'll get an eye and ear for a good vs. lousy script the more you practice!

There are a few different types of scripts you can use for voice acting practice:

1. Commercials

2. Animation

3. Video games

4. Audiobooks

5. Narration - Explainer Videos

Each type of script has its own challenges, which can help you improve your voice acting skills.

1. Commercials

Commercials are a great way to practice voice acting because they require a lot of emotion and energy. You need to be able to capture the attention of the listener and deliver the message in a way that is both clear and interesting.

2. Animation

Animation scripts are also great for voice acting practice because they often require a lot of different voices and emotions. You need to be able to create distinct voices for each character and make them sound believable.

3. Video games

Video games are another excellent option for voice acting practice. Like animation, they require a lot of different voices. You need to create believable characters and make the game come alive with your voice.

4. Audiobooks

Audiobooks are a great way to practice voice acting because they require a lot of emotion and inflection. You need to keep the listener engaged and invested in the story.

5. Narration - Explainer Videos

Explainer videos are another great way to practice your voice acting. You must capture the listener's attention and keep it throughout the video. It can be challenging but imagine yourself talking to someone who wants to know more about the brand's product or service.
